What matters most
It comes down to domains and quantity.
Of everything here, Hovercode is the tool we’d recommend if we didn’t make our own. The free plan’s dynamic codes never expire, scans are unlimited, and the paid plans are clearly priced. Its Pro plan also includes a custom domain, so your short links can live on your own address. That’s a genuine advantage we don’t have yet.
Where the maths changes is volume. Hovercode Pro is $12 a month for 100 dynamic codes; BuildYourQR Dynamic is $9 a month with no code limit. If you print for many locations, products or campaigns, that difference adds up. And if you want AR video on your print, that’s only on our side. If your own domain matters more than either, go with Hovercode.
